Free tool

See where your AWS money goes, without sending us the bill.

Open a Cost Explorer CSV or a Cost and Usage Report. Your browser reads it, adds it up by service and month, shows what changed and suggests where to look for savings. The file never leaves your device.

  1. 01In AWS Cost Explorer, choose the last three to six months, monthly, grouped by Service, and download the CSV. A Cost and Usage Report CSV also works.
  2. 02Drop the file below or paste the CSV text. Large reports are read in pieces, so even big files work.
  3. 03Read the breakdown: spend by service, month-on-month movers and hints in order of the money involved.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Is my AWS bill uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and analysed by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else unless you choose to fill in the optional email form, which sends only the summary figures shown on screen.

Which files does it accept?

A CSV downloaded from AWS Cost Explorer (grouped by service, monthly works best), or a Cost and Usage Report CSV from the legacy CUR or CUR 2.0 data export. Gzipped CSV (.csv.gz) also works in current browsers. Parquet files are not supported.

How do I export a CSV from Cost Explorer?

Open Cost Explorer, set the date range to the last three to six months, choose monthly granularity and group by Service, then use the download CSV option.

Are the savings hints exact?

No. They point you at the right places to look, based on where your money goes. For figures you can act on, our AWS cost and security review looks at your actual resources with read-only access.
